Star, writer, producer Renee Dorian was actually pregnant during the filming of the short. The idea was a fever dream of hers that became the story. During the post- production of the short baby Daisy was born.
The little girl in the film, Zoe, is the daughter of the director and executive producer. This was her first on screen appearance. Since then she has appeared in The Spore (Lionsgate) and 3 Demons (Uncork'd)
Before his untimely passing legendary horror director Tobe Hooper watched the film and praised the short film for its hook, look, and tone. Comparing it to the feeling of a Dario Argento and Mario Bava film. You cannot ask for better praise than that! We miss you greatly Tobe!
The scarf that Renee Dorian is knitting in the film is the same colors of Freddy Krueger’s sweater. This is a wink to the director’s friend and mentor Wes Craven.
Motherhood Bites made its US premiere at SIN CITY FILM FESTIVAL.
The short film also made an appearance on the Legendary digital series SHORT ENDS hosted by Andre Gower and Ryan Lambert of The Monster Squad fame.

Commercial for the Queen of Meatloaf
RED TOWER is happy to present another curated short film from visionary filmmaker DINA FIASCONARO. Queen of Meatloaf is a LYNCHian surrealist take on a 1950s commercial in which a bored housewife attempts to spice up her marriage by preparing a delicious meatloaf for dinner. What emerges from the kitchen is “The Queen of Meatloaf” incarnate, who proceeds to invade the homes of consumers and wreak havoc on the commercial set.
